Smiles

Smile! It is a choice! Why would we spend time wishing for tomorrow when we've got today?!Days go by and i can already feel them go flying by. Start living right now and choice to have a smile on your face no matter what circumstance you live in, no matter what is happening in your life....That is one of the first lessons i have learned from these kids in school! I thought i came to be a volunteer teacher but instead i am finding out that i came to be a student! There have been some rough times, i have been worn out and frustrated at times, and the teachers definitely get me worked up but life is a choice and these little kids are teaching me how to smile and laugh. They find joy in the simplest of things, like a grass made jump rope, or a simple sweet treat, or a smile, and a fist pump, a marble, a crayon or to get their picture taken! No wonder God says we need to become like little children! They sometimes understand more than we do! They are the best part of this whole trip and definitely make every sacrifice worth it!

Just wanted to say hi to me as i came to school! Class 4 is one of my favorites!  I taught them to play rock, paper scissors today and they loved it!!!!
My buddy always says hes got Swag!

These 3 cute girls live next to us and go to school! They take care of me everyday! I may just pack up the one in front and bring her home in my suit case! Mazy is a doll!!!

My Boys are tired and need a rest in the shade! Like i said once the kids knew i had a camera they ask for pictures all the time! Perfect because i love taking their pictures!
We pass these two kids on our walk to school everyday and they always run to us saying "mazungu, mazungu, how are you? how are you?" any time the kids on the street see us they give us the same greeting! we high five hundred of kids each day as we walk around
Some times it rains.....and we have to walk home through a river! good thing i know how to freak'n swim! Thanks for the swimming lessons mom!

Kids don't want to study if it is raining out side! Neither do I!! lets have some fun, How about dancing in the rain! Wish you all could see this girl throw it down and bust the moves! Funniest thing ever!
We love the rain here because they teachers don't come to class and we can play !
